Vigo County Jail Log: Jan. 9, 2014

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement Wednesday and Thursday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Wednesday

Brian D. Frye, 27, 1500 block of Third Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 10:25 a.m. Failure to appear.

Mark E. Phillips, 43, 3000 block of North 15 1/2 Street, Terre Haute. Booked 11:09 a.m. Failure to appear.

Joe L. Clark Jr., 29, 1400 block of South Fourth, Terre Haute. Booked 3:56 p.m. Criminal conversion.

Devlin C. Decker, 23, 10 block of South Gilbert Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 7:22 p.m. Murder.

Matthew B. Phillips, 32, 900 block of Kussner Street, Terre Haute. Booked 8:05 p.m. Failure to appear.

Jeffery M. Morgan, 23, 2400 block of Seabury Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 8:20 p.m. Battery.

Kimberlee S. Walker, 45, 1500 block of South Eighth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 10:10 p.m. Dealing methamphetamine and possession of controlled substance.

Jennifer Morris, 25, 1300 block of Liberty Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 11:27 p.m. Battery.

Thursday

Dakota J. Caldwell, 20, 1300 block of Liberty Avenue, Terre Haute. Booked 1:50 a.m. Battery.

Jimmy Hurt, 31, 1400 block of South Ninth Street, Terre Haute. Booked 4:12 a.m. Criminal recklessness, possession of marijuana/hash and possession of paraphernalia.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
