ISU opens home baseball season today

TERRE HAUTE — Indiana State baseball’s home opener is today at 3:30 p.m. against South Dakota State.

The Jackrabbits open the tournament at Bob Warn Field at noon against Mercer.

The Sycamores’ starting pitcher tonight will be junior right-hander Daniel Peterson, a 6-foot-6 transfer from Neosho County Community College.

Preseason All-American Sean Manaea will start against Mercer, while junior lefty Jeff Degano will be the Sunday starter against Mercer.
