ISU's Odum named to preseason All-America squad

TERRE HAUTE — Indiana State guard Jake Odum was named to the Lute Olson Preseason All-America team on Thursday.

To qualify for the Lute Olson team, a player has to have had played at least two seasons with his respective team.

Odum — a 6-foot-4 senior and Terre Haute native — is one of 22 players named to the Preseason team. Odum has averaged 11.3 points and 4.5 assists in his three seasons with the Sycamores. Odum has 1,116 career points at ISU.

He is one of three Missouri Valley Conference players named to the team. Wichita State forward Cleanthony Early and Creighton forward Doug McDermott are the other two.

ISU opened practice on Monday. It opens the season on Nov. 9 as it hosts Ball State.
