They had the following children: 1) Elisha, married Mary Ann Secrest; 2) Louisa Jane, married Jacob Secrest; 3) Nancy Caroline, married James Hayes, and they lived in Dick Johnson Township, Clay County, Ind.; 4) Mary Elizabeth, married High Headley, and they lived in Shannon County, Mo.; 5) Matthew J. or John Matthew, married Elza Hawk/Howk; 6) Amos Pierce, married Sara Jane Secrest; 7) James A., married Elizabeth (Lizzie) Borders, and she later married Henry A.
