PREP ROUNDUP: Brewer has double-double in South girls win

CAYUGA — Tasia Brewer posted 20 points and 10 rebounds and Emily Bell and Lauren Hambrock added 16 and 10 points respectively as the Terre Haute Braves defeated North Vermillion 66-54 in girls basketball on Friday.

Bell also grabbed eight rebounds.

North Vermillion’s top scorers were Taylor Turchi with 15 points and Kylee Karr and Darby Martin with 10 apiece.

Postponements

• Arrows must reschedule
— Sullivan’s girls/boys varsity doubleheader vs. Edgewood scheduled for Friday evening was postponed by inclement weather and rescheduled for Jan. 22.

The girls game will start at 6 p.m., followed by the boys game.

Sullivan’s girls junior varsity game against Linton, previously scheduled for Jan. 22, will be moved or cancelled.

Other weekend postponements may be called or e-mailed into the Tribune-Star today.
