PREP ROUNDUP: Rockville volleyball drops close match at Covington

COVINGTON — Rockville hung close but lost to host Covington 25-19, 27-25, 25-18 in Wabash River Conference high school volleyball Tuesday evening.

Highlights — For Rockville, Meagan White had 4 kills, DonaMarie Kelley had 4 aces, Bailey Vukovits had 11 assists and Morgan Black had 17 digs.

JV — Covington won 25-12, 25-13.

Records — Rockville is now 0-11 overall and 0-4 in the WRC. Covington is 4-4 overall.



In other high school volleyball Tuesday:

• Bloomington South 3, Terre Haute South 2 — At Bloomington, the Braves took the home team to the limit before dropping their sixth match of the season.

Highlights — For Terre Haute South, Bailee Williams and Emma Burke each had 11 kills, Natalie Scamihorn had 23 assists and Marissa Coutinho had 41 digs.

• North Central 3, Clay City 2 — At Clay City, Emmie Kittle and Whitney Milner each had 10 kills in a losing effort for the host Eels.
