PREP ROUNDUP: Terre Haute South picks up victory at Center Grove

TERRE HAUTE — Terre Haute South got its 2013 high school boys tennis season off to a great start Saturday morning, knocking off traditional power Center Grove 3-2 on the Trojans’ courts.

Krishan Kumar and Scott Kellar picked up singles wins for the Braves, while the No. 2 doubles team of Harrison Villarreal and Luke Yeagley came from behind for a three-set victory.

Doubles — Vaughan Knutson-Ty Thixton (CG0 def. Reed Crawford-Trace Harruff 6-3, 6-3; Harrison Villarreal-Luke Yeagley (THS) def. Casey Fellers-Alex Sorley 6-7 (6-8), 6-3, 6-3.

Harry Williams and North’s two doubles teams — Keaton Akers and Justin Newton, Lucas Davis and Luke Dugger — scored for the Patriots.
