PREP ROUNDUP: North, South finish in middle of MIC pack at tennis championships

INDIANAPOLIS — Terre Haute South finished fourth and Terre Haute North fifth Saturday at Ben Davis in the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference girls high school tennis tournament.

Carmel was the team champion.

South’s doubles teams led the way for the Braves, with Shivani Purohit and Courtney Sheets placing third and Miranda Camp and Nicole Howe finishing fourth.

Best placing for North was earned by Laura Mascari, who won two of her three matches and placed third at No. 2 singles. Anna Potter of the Patriots also went 2-1, finishing fourth at No. 1 singles.
