Prep basketball: Braves fall in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON — Kylie Fendrick tallied 14 points and freshman Kennedy Williams added 10 for Terre Haute South, but the Braves lost to Bloomington South 78-42 in girls high school basketball Tuesday night.

Bloomington South’s top scorers were Lauran Whitlatch with 21 points and Mackenzie McNew with 16.

Sophomore Carlie Johnson led South Vermillion with eight points.

— At Marshall, Ill., Kaydie Grooms posted 33 points and eight rebounds to lead the host Lions to a non-conference victory Monday.

Breah Keim added 15 points and Cheyenne Thompson chipped in with 13 points and nine steals for Marshall. Kelly Higginbotham led Martinsville with 14 points.
