Prep football: Workhorse WIlkey leads Rox to come-from-behind victory

ROCKVILLE — Keiontre’ Wilkey busted loose for 232 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner with less than two minutes remaining, on 36 carries to lead Rockville over visiting Attica 30-28 in a battle for first place in Wabash River Conference high school football Friday night.

Wilkey’s TDs covered 3, 57 and 12 yards, plus he also ran for three 2-point conversions. Ben Cunningham scored the other Rox touchdown on a 5-yard run in the second quarter.

In other high school football Friday night:

Seeger 64, Riverton Parke 16 — At Mecca, the visiting Patriots got out to a big lead by halftime in Wabash River Conference play.

Jordan Lowe rushed for 84 yards on nine carries, including a 41-yard touchdown run in the second half, to lead Riverton Parke. Johnny Myers scored on a 32-yard run and also threw 2-point conversion passes to Dakota Milner and Cory Cronkhite.

Michael Lowe also had an interception for the Panthers, now 1-3 overall and 0-3 in conference play. Riverton Parke plays next Friday at North Vermillion, while Seeger (1-3, 1-2) will be at home to face Covington.

Tecumseh 58, Union 8 — At Dugger, host Union took it on the chin for the fourth straight week.

Union will play host to Southside HomeSchool next Friday, while Tecumseh (3-1) will welcome South Decatur to its field next Saturday.

Cloverdale 52, Turkey Run 0 — At Cloverdale, the visiting Warriors were blanked for the third time in four games this season.

Turkey Run (0-4) will play host to Rockville next Friday, while Cloverdale (1-3) will welcome Cascade that same night.

Casey 48, Palestine-Hutsonville 14 — At Casey, Ill., the host Warriors improved their record to 3-0 with the victory.
