Linton beat West Vigo 60-40 during the Pizza Hut Wabash Valley Classic and will be starting a busy week. On Wednesday the Miners travel to Northview — another Classic opponent, the Knights winning that one 52-50 in the final seconds — for Northview’s season finale and Linton’s second of three games in four nights. The Knights, 12-9, have clinched a winning season.
Thursday night is the final regular-season game for 8-13 Terre Haute South, which travels to Southport to face a future Conference Indiana opponent that has won six of its last seven going into a game tonight with Roncalli. Southport is currently 11-7.
North’s final game of the regular season is a home game Friday against Center Grove, possibly the Patriots’ final Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference game. North is 1-3 in MIC contests this season, while the Trojans — who played at Carmel on Monday — could be looking for a lone conference win. Center Grove was 7-11 and 0-6 prior to its road game against the state’s top-ranked team.
