PREP ROUNDUP: Flora beats Marshall with 3-pointer with three seconds left

Flora, Ill. — Marshall fell to 4-3 this season after a 48-45 loss to unbeaten Flora on Friday night in boys high school basketball action.

Walker Berner was 8 for 8 at the free-throw line for Marshall and hit two of them to give the Lions a 45-44 lead with 22 seconds to play, but Flora won on a 3-pointer by Christian Taylor with three seconds to play and he added a free throw.

Marshall is 4-3 and 1-2 in the Little Illini Conference and will host Martinsville on Tuesday.



In other boys basketball action Friday:

• North Daviess 63, North Central 48 — At Farmersburg, Todd Lebeda and Nick Stucker tallied 12 and 10 points respectively for the Thunderbirds.
