Rockville boys win tourney in Peoria

PEORIA, Ill. — Rockville High School’s boys basketball team came from behind to defeat Milwaukee (Wis.) Riverside 47-34 in Wednesday afternoon’s title game of the Tournament of Champions.

Lane Mahurin and Jordon McFall led the Rox with 22 and 14 points respectively. Milwaukee Riverside’s top scorer was James Bateman with 13 points.

To get to the championship game, Rockville knocked off Illinois Valley Central 56-43 Tuesday as Gary Ulrich paced the winners with 21 points.

Rockville finished runner-up in Indiana’s Class A state tournament last season.
