TERRE HAUTE —
The Wabash Valley Football Coaches Association has announced that Terre Haute North’s Chris Barrett and Linton’s Brian Oliver will be the coaches for the 2014 WVFCA All-Star Game. The 10th edition of the game will take place on June 28 at Indiana State’s Memorial Stadium.
Barrett and Oliver were voted as coaches by their peers. Barrett’s North team was 10-3 as the Patriots won their sectional and a first-ever regional championship. Oliver’s Miners went 13-1 and also won sectional and regional titles.
Oliver will coach the Gold team and Barrett will coach the Black team. The coaches will draft players off a pre-assigned set of schools designated for each team.
Here is how the 33 schools in the WVFCA breakdown for each team:
Gold — Casey, Covington, Cumberland, Greencastle, Linton, North Central, North Vermillion, Northview, Oblong, Owen Valley, Palestine-Hutsonville, Paris, Riverton Parke, Rockville, Terre Haute South, Union, West Vigo.
Black — Cascade, Cloverdale, Edgewood, Marshall, Mattoon, North Knox, North Putnam, Olney, Red Hill, Robinson, South Putnam, South Vermillion, Sullivan, Terre Haute North, Tri-County, Turkey Run.
