PREP ROUNDUP: North golf picks up victory on Senior Night

TERRE HAUTE — Terre Haute North closed out its regular girls high school golf season on a winning note in Senior Night action Tuesday at Hulman Links.

The Patriots outscored Edgewood 193-206 to finish with a 4-3 record in nine-hole matches. Seniors Anna Potter and Nicole Anderson led the Patriots. Potter shot 42 for medalist honors and Anderson carded 43.

Potter and Anderson have played varsity golf for four years and earned all-Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference honors once.

Alex Bryant shot 53 and Alli Farrington had 55 to round out the North scoring.

Olivia Rund of Edgewood was medalist with 47. She earlier was medalist in the Western Indiana Conference championship action at Idle Creek.

North will vie for sectional honors at Forest Park on Saturday.
