Prep roundup: Danville golf wins Cloverdale Invitational
Danville won the team competition by shooting a 415, North Central placed fifth with a 462 and Sullivan finished eighth with a 522 in the Cloverdale Invitational girls high school golf tournament at Clover Meadows on Thursday.
Team scores — Danville 415, South Putnam 426, Cascade 448, Southmont 457, North Central 462, Tri-West 468, Cloverdale 478, Sullivan 522.

Next — Sullivan will compete Monday at Cascades in Bloomington against Edgewood and North Central. Cloverdale takes on Owen Valley and Eminence on Monday, then competes in the Terre Haute South Invitational on Tuesday.

• Gosnell wins medalist honors — At Oak Tree Course in Plainfield, Terre Haute South senior Katelyn Gosnell tied for medalist honors with three other players with an 81 before winning the individual title on the second playoff hole Monday in the Plainfield Invitational.
Nine teams competed, but results for South were not reported.
