Brittany Farmer, a senior at Terre Haute North, had a tough time on Friday, but prevailed in a pair of tiebreakers in advancing to today’s semifinals of the IHSAA Individual singles state finals at North Central High School.
Farmer (18-5 overall, 6-0 in tournament) eliminated previously unbeaten freshman Bethany Moore (19-1, 4-1) of Lebanon 7-6 (5), 7-6 (1) in their first round match.
“At this level, a win’s a win,” commented North tennis coach Jim Cook afterward.
