Prep Roundup: No. 9 South girls tennis cruises

The No. 9-ranked Terre Haute South Braves warmed up for this weekend’s tennis sectioal action with a victory against Vincennes Lincoln on Tuesday at home.

South won all of the matches in straight sets and finished 12-1 for the regular season.

Singles — Hunter Bullock (THS) def. Elizabeth Gibson 6-1, 6-0; Taylor Bullock (THS) def. Kathryn Klueh 6-2, 6-0; Eesha Purohit (THS) def. Sarah Rensing 6-1, 6-0.

Doubles — Katie Bilyeu-Maddy Bogle (THS) def. Annie Newman-Katie Lamarche 6-3, 6-0; Mallory Metheny-Emma Bilyeu (THS) def. Kinzie Held-Gina Prout 6-1, 6-2.

Not only did George earn medalist honors with a 33 on the back nine at the Phil Harris Course, he fired an eagle on the par-5 12th hole and he topped that with a hole-in-one on the 130-yard 14th hole.
