‘Reclaim the future’ goal of Alzheimer's walk on Sunday at RHIT

TERRE HAUTE — The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting Terre Haute residents to “unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions” by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday.

The walk will begin at 11 a.m. at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

In addition to the walk, registrants will receive a Promise Flower, making a commitment to fulfill their promise to fight Alzheimer’s by participating in the Promise Garden.

“Through color,” the association said in a press release, “these Promise Flowers represent the diverse reasons participants have gathered, and each Promise Flower will carry a hand-written message to further strengthen their dedication.”

“Funds raised will provide care and support services to the thousands of Hoosiers living with Alzheimer’s, while also contributing to advancing critically needed research that could change the course of Alzheimer’s disease for future generations,” said Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter Executive Director Heather Hershberger.
