The Union Hospital Diabetes Education Center will host a free dinner program at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 4, at the Landsbaum Center for Health Education, 1433 N. 61⁄2 St., to celebrate Diabetes Awareness Month.
The event will begin with an opportunity to visit vendor booths, followed by dinner at 6 p.m. The dinner presentation will include A1C Champion Speaker Jim Murphy. Attendees will learn about managing diabetes from a real patient, with real A1C control, providing real inspiration. Call the Diabetes Center at 812-238-7577 by Friday to make reservations.
The Diabetes Center will also offer free Clabber Girl Christmas cooking programs at 11:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Dec. 2, at the Clabber Girl kitchen at Ninth Street and Wabash Avenue. Each session is limited to 26 participants. Call 812-238-7577 by Nov. 22 to register.
