He is particularly interested in exploring the health benefits of mind-body modalities such as dancing, tai chi and Qigong for the prevention and intervention of chronic diseases, such as cancer, depression, post-traumatic stress, obesity and diabetes.
Dine with a Doc is a free event that welcomes the local senior public to hear the doctor of the month present an educational topic while attendees enjoy a complimentary meal. Visitors do not need to be members of the Senior Center to come and participate. Each doctor has donated this time in effort to hear and answer questions while sharing a meal with community members.
A question-and-answer period will follow the discussion. Lunch will be provided courtesy of Terre Haute Nursing and Rehabilitation, 830 S. Sixth St. There will be an opening prayer, and veterans in attendance will be recognized for their service and dedication, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Various health care providers will share information about their services and provide door prizes for participants to win.
Reservations are strongly recommended. Call 812-230-7772 to register.
