Due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday, the usual fourth Wednesday of the month Dine with a Doc has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 21 in the Wabash Senior Citizen’s Center at 300 S. Fifth St.
The Nov. 21 speaker will be Dr. Kurt Madsen, an orthopedic surgeon at Madsen Orthopedics and Spine, 501 East Hospital Lane, Suite 205, Terre Haute.
Madsen is serving as medical director for the Sports/Industrial Rehabilitation program at Sullivan County Community Hospital, where he has performed a number of procedures, including kyphoplasty, total joint replacement and fracture repair. He will be available on a consultative basis as indicated.
Madsen graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He specializes in orthopedics and orthopedic surgery. He has a private practice and is affiliated with Terre Haute Regional Hospital and Sullivan Community Hospital.
A question and answer period will follow Madsen’s discussion. Lunch will be provided. There will be an opening prayer, and veterans in attendance will be recognized for their service. There will be various health care providers present to share information about their services and provide door prizes.
Additionally provided free of charge at every Dine with a Doc is a “Wellness Clinic.” Robin Collins with Springhill Village will provide blood sugar and blood pressure information.
