The Tribune-Star

TERRE HAUTE — Paris (Ill.) Community Hospital/Family Medical Center will provide free Vial of Life kits to those attending the Dine with a Doc program from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST Friday in the University of Illinois Extension Building on Illinois 1.

The kits allow individuals to have their complete medical information ready in their home for emergency personnel to reference during an emergency.

Each vial consists of a magnetic frame that should be affixed to the person’s refrigerator at home. Inside the frame is paperwork that contains the individual’s complete medical information, including existing health conditions, medications and insurance information. A photo is included with the paperwork. PCH/FMC will take the photo and provide it free when vials are picked up. PCH/FMC also will provide special stickers to place on doors.
