Indy hosting national autism conference next week

INDIANAPOLIS — The 45th Autism Society National Conference will take place July 23 to 26 in Indianapolis.

Attendees from all around the world come together to network, connect and learn from world-renowned speakers in the autism field. They will support each other, celebrate, and share ideas, stories and hope.

The Autism Society’s conference brings attendees the opportunity to interact with others who possess an ability to bring about change and improve the lives of all individuals living on the autism spectrum.

The society hopes to build on past years’ successes, and has created a program with cutting-edge topics and varied formats. It will also have leading speakers, including the most famous autism advocate in the world, Dr. Temple Grandin.

The program will include more than 80 breakout sessions spanning early childhood to adulthood, providing practical take-aways on hot topics such bullying prevention, technology, social skills, criminal justice, employment and transition. This year provides even more opportunities to network via the new sharing sessions, where participants can connect with others around common interests and goals.
