Dine with a Doc welcomes chiropractor

TERRE HAUTE — Senior Education Ministries Inc. has scheduled its next Rise and Shine Dine with a Doc from 8 to 10 a.m. Dec. 14 at the Wabash Senior Citizen’s Center at 300 S. Fifth St.

This month’s guest is Dr. Nicholas Brown of Family Chiropractic, 5101 S. U.S. 41, Terre Haute. Brown is a licensed chiropractor by the state of Indiana.

A question-and-answer period will follow his presentation.

A complimentary breakfast will be provided by Westridge Health Care Center.

Chaplain Edgar Guy will give the opening prayer, and veterans in attendance will be recognized. Health care providers will share information about their services and provide door prizes.

Fred Light and Meadows Home Health Care will be available to assist with blood pressure and blood sugar screening.

The next Dine with a Doc — West Terre Haute is coming up from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Providence Housing Corp. All Place, 219 N. Providence Place, West Terre Haute.

Vigo County Coroner Dr. Roland Kohr is this month’s guest.

He is one of approximately 400 board-certified forensic pathologists in the U.S.

He is the only pathologist or forensic pathologist in Indiana serving as a coroner.

He teaches as an associate visiting professor of criminal justice at Indiana State University, and as an associate clinical professor of pathology for the IU School of Medicine. In addition, he teaches forensic science and forensic pathology for the Indiana Coroner’s Training Board.

Kohr will discuss biblical and historical clues on the significance of the Bethlehem Star. A question-and-answer period will follow his discussion.

Lunch will be provided by Terre Haute Nursing and Rehabilitation. There will be an opening prayer and devotion at the beginning of the program and veterans will be recognized. Health care providers will share information about services and provide door prizes.
