Healthy Homes Summit to offer housing resources

TERRE HAUTE — The Healthy Homes Summit will take place at 6 p.m. on Dec. 5 at Greenwood Manor Apartments. The event will provide Vigo County residents with information and resources on landlord/tenant rights, housing discrimination and health and safety concerns, along with free food and prizes. It is presented by the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, the City of Terre Haute Human Relations Commission and the Indiana State Department of Health.

“It is important that we reach every corner of the state in our education and outreach efforts,” said Jamal L. Smith, executive director of the ICRC. “We want to ensure that people in the community are aware of what services are available to them.”

For more information about the program call Ava Y. Taylor, public outreach and events manager, at 317-232-2641. For information on the ICRC visit www.in.gov/icrc or call 800-628-2909.
