Gibault’s Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility serves males ages 6 to 18 who exhibit chronic behaviors that endanger themselves or others.
The locked-secure unit is designed to provide a stable environment to youth who require 24-hour secure care because of a disruption in the placement in the family or group residence two or more times in the past year, or a persistent pattern of behavior that has severely disrupted life at home and school. The program serves youth who have affective disorders, attention deficit disorder, oppositional defiance, conduct disorder, sexual/emotional/physical abuse, anxiety disorder, and adjustment disorders. Services provided include individual, group and family therapy, psychiatric and psychological evaluations, recreational and educational opportunities.
Children who are eligible to receive Indiana Medicaid benefits may be referred to the program directly by parents/guardians, psychiatrists, physicians, therapists or other helping professionals.
