When I was young, my grandmother, Grace Nichols, always made this 5 Cup Salad. She used to take it everywhere she went. When my kids came along they ate everything in it but the coconut. They said they didn’t like coconut. Well, she cut it so fine they couldn’t detect it. They told Grandma it was better now. She always smiled and gave me a wink. They enjoyed this for many years. Grandma used scissors to cut the coconut into fine pieces. Even her great-great-granddaughter enjoys this salad.
