TERRE HAUTE — All food inspections by the Vigo County Health Department are scored on a critical and non-critical system.

To make the scores easier to comprehend:

A critical item is one that is likely to contribute to food contamination or food-borne illness.

A non-critical item is a violation that is less likely to cause food contamination or an illness but is undesirable in a food establishment.
