The Restaurant & Hospitality Association of Indiana, in partnership with Purdue Extension, has scheduled Indiana Food Handler ServSafe Certification classes from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 24 and Aug. 31 at the Beef House Restaurant on North Indiana 63 near Covington. Check-in begins at 8 a.m.
The exam meets Indiana food handler certification requirements. The class costs $130 and includes instruction, book and exam. A discount rate of $105 is available to members of RHAI, IH&LA, ACF or NCIA; daycares, schools, government, nonprofit agencies; or more than 4 from one organization,
Two pieces of identification are required to take the exam — one photo ID and another with your signature. Pre-registration is needed by Wednesday.
A $20 late fee is assessed for all walk-in registrations.
