Establishment inspections April 7-11:
• Economart Inc., 9198 N. U.S. 41, (8 Critical, 3 Non-Critical) – No certified food handler on staff; employee did not wash hands before preparing pizza dough; in walk-in cooler found green beans, mashed potatoes, hamburgers, baked beans and bacon not marked with date of consumption; food slicer found with accumulated old food debris; soda fountain nozzles found with accumulated black debris; observed brown residue in front handwash sink; restrooms out of order; observed wastewater on floor under 3-bay sink in kitchen.
• Kleptz Tavern, 9711 E. U.S. 40, (1 Critical, 3 Non-Critical) – Steak marinade found at 65 degrees, should be 41 degrees or below (discarded).
• MDT Corp. Sunmart, 408 S. Seventh St., (1 Critical, 3 Non-Critical) – Found frozen lamb in box freezer and walk-in freezer not labeled and no proof of source from where it came.
• Saratoga/Azar’s Catering, 431 Wabash Ave., (1 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) – Ice machine chute found with pink debris.
• Arby’s No. 7082, 2155 Lafayette Ave., (1 Critical, 0 Non-Critical) – Observed black debris on soda fountain nozzles.
