Establishment inspections Jan. 14-18:

M. Moggers Brewery, 908 Poplar St. (6 Critical, 5 Non-Critical) — Observed baked potatoes at 120 degrees should be 135 degrees and above; observed raw chicken, fish and cooked mushrooms, green peppers and onions and various lunch meats at 47-53 degrees, should be 41 degrees or below; roast beef and baked potatoes not marked with date of consumption; found accumulated black debris on wonder wand nozzle in bar area, found dirty knife and spoon in dessert cooler; handwash station in kitchen found dirty; observed ice and brown residue in handwash sinks in waitress stations.

Jiffy Mini-Mart No. 518, 5083 N. Lafayette Ave., (6 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) – No one left in charge in establishment; smoked sausage on rollers found at 130 degrees, cheeseburger and Italian sub at 94 degrees, should be 135 degrees or above (discarded); not sanitizing dishes or utensils after washing; handwash sink drips constantly; employee observed dumping coffee in handwash sink; toxics stored above warewashing sink.

Lawton Byrum VFW Post 972, 1111 Veterans Square, (5 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) – No one in charge of kitchen; observed raw fish thawing out in same water as raw chicken; spaghetti with meatballs found at 95 degrees, should be 135 degrees or above; baked potatoes, spaghetti and chili sauce not marked with date of consumption; vegetable soup and hot dogs held past date of consumption.

West Terre Haute Mini Mart, 1160 W. Hwy. 40, (4 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) – Sausage pizza in warmer found at 126 degrees should be 135 degrees or above; barbecue pork not cooled within appropriate time limits (discarded); chili in walk-in cooler not marked with date of consumption; observed yellow debris inside of ice machine.

Rod & Gun Steakhouse Inc., 2525 E. Lambert Ave.(3 Critical, 4 Non-Critical) – Found baked potatoes from the night before in oven (discarded); no sanitizer provided at bar; found oil in pans from night before.

Kroger, 2650 Wabash Ave., (2 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) – Handwash sinks found dirty in bakery and meat departments; observed burnt-on black debris on stainless steel baking sheets in bakery.

Hardee’s No. 1500648, 3381 S. Hwy. 41, (2 Critical, 0 Non-Critical) – Found accumulated debris on soda nozzle casing in drive-through, tongs and stainless steel container for egg mixture; handwash sink found dirty.

Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon, 3060 S. U.S. 41, (1 Critical, 5 Non-Critical) – Handles on handwash sink in prep area observed with accumulated debris.

Denny’s Restaurant, 3442 S. U.S. 41, (1 Critical, 4 Non-Critical) – In grill area found encrusted black debris on stainless steel baking sheets.

The Hangar, 560 S. Airport St., (1 Critical, 4 Non-Critical) – No sanitizer provided in automatic dishwasher.

Jiffy Mini-Mart, 1148 N. Fruitridge, (1 Critical, 3 Non-Critical) – Hot dogs on rollers 123 degrees, should be 135 degrees and above.

The Bush Family Restaurant, 932 Locust St., (1 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) – Excessive hard water deposits on chute in ice machine.

Magdy’s Inc., 1000 S. Sixth St., (1 Critical, 0 Non-Critical) – Sanitizer levels in dishwasher not adequate.
