Bridgeton to host Country Christmas celebration this weekend

Bridgeton will host its annual Country Christmas celebration from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The shops will be open and full of gifts.

Vendors will be in the 1878 Barn, Collom’s General Store and the North Pole Barn. Many vendors are returning from the Covered Bridge Festival and there will be new ones as well.

Enjoy a chicken and noodles dinner at Collom’s General Store, or try the Mill Snack Shop, the Hen House coffee shop or the Old Bank for kettlekorn. Visit the Bridgeton Mill for organic stone-ground products, and Ye Olde Covered Bridge Shoppe, the 1878 House, 1822 Log Cabin, the Baldrige House and Carriage House with the Emporium and Bad News Garage, and the Bridgeton Country Store for gifts, antiques and collectibles.

There’s no admission and free parking.

The celebration continues Dec. 6-8.

Kids may visit Santa from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday or Sunday both weekends in the 1822 Case Log Cabin.

Bridgeton is 9 miles south of Rockville, or take Indiana 59 north from Brazil to the Bridgeton highway sign, or travel east of Rosedale 8 miles. Just follow the signs. For more details call 765-548-2136.
