TERRE HAUTE — The Wabash Valley has much to offer in terms of fall festivals. Get out and enjoy one of the many events that make the Valley unique.

Want to know where to start? Today concludes the Mansfield Cornbread Festival & Outdoor Sportsman Show.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free demonstrations, gun and knife show, food, beans and cornbread, flea market, arts and crafts, covered bridges and the mill. Shops are open. There is no admission charge. And the location is handicap accessible. For more information visit www.mans

Sept. 12-13: Hymera Seafood Festival, Old Soldiers Reunion, downtown Hymera, Sullivan County. Flea market, craft booths, entertainment all day, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.; serving seafood dinner from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. No admission charge. Handicap accessible.

Sept. 17-20: Sullivan County Rotary Club Corn Festival, Courthouse Square, Sullivan. Corn on the cob and other food, arts and crafts, carnival, nightly entertainment. No admission charge. Handicap accessible. Call (812) 268-6386.

Sept. 11-13: 36th Annual German Oktoberfest. A German fall celebration at 9th and Cherry streets in Terre Haute with music and dancing, crafts, German bratwurst, sauerkraut, German potato salad, beer and refreshments including desserts. Oct. 10-19: Parke County Covered Bridge Festival, Bridgeton, Mansfield, Mecca, Montezuma, Billie Creek Village, Rockville, Rosedale, Tangier.
