'Living Corpse’ film coming to Valley

Special to the Tribune-Star

Zombies have hit the Wabash Valley. MMY Productions, the parent company of Junk’d, located here in the Wabash Valley, has just signed on to co-produce the animated feature film “The Living Corpse.”

Executive producer Brad Hauter commented on the development, “The success of our first show, Junk’d, has opened a lot of doors for us over the last six years, and we are thrilled to be making the move into feature films.”

“We have had a desire to get into features, and when we were asked to help bring this project to life, we read the script and really liked the story.” Hauter added. “We are co-producing this project with Shoreline Entertainment, who is one of the leaders in independent films, having placed well in the last three Sundance film festivals and we have a great six-year relationship with them.”

Asked how they can co-produce work from the Wabash Valley, Hauter added, “This digital electronic world is amazing … The animation is being done in editing suites in Hollywood as well as overseas … Work is posted on an internal production site daily for everyone on the team to review. It is really incredible, as it feels like this is being done in the room next door, but there are thousands of miles between all the pieces.”

“The Living Corpse is written off of a popular comic book character and has an existing fan base. We are hoping for a theatrical release and would love to have a red-carpet screening here in the Wabash Valley,” Hauter added.
