Wabash Valley Art Guild members' work to be on display in Sullivan

Sullivan Area Art Guild will display artwork by members of Wabash Valley Art Guild beginning Sunday in the gallery at 16 S. Court St. in downtown Sullivan.

The gallery will open the exhibit with a free reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Wabash Valley Art Guild past president JoAnne Fiscus will speak. Other participating artists will be on hand to talk about their art.

“We are extremely excited to have the fantastic artworks from some very talented artists of the Wabash Valley Art Guild,” Sharon Hawk of the Sullivan guild said.

Fourteen Wabash Valley Art Guild artists will be showing over 40 works of art. These include photography; glass works; oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings; highly detailed graphite and colored pencil drawings; and pastels, ink and mixed media. The exhibit also features 3-D art, weaving, unique gourds and a whimsy or two.

Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free.
