Brazil author to release first book

Special to the Tribune-Star

TERRE HAUTE — Since her first unpublished pre-kindergarten works of Susie Skunk and Connie Raccoon, Brazil resident Marjorie E. Hopkins says she has always wanted to write. Graduating from DePauw University with a bachelor’s in English composition set her up to accomplish her goal. For years Hopkins has been a freelance writer for various publications, including the Tribune-Star and Terre Haute Living Magazine. She also has held various writing and marketing positions.

Her passion for writing, her deep Christian faith and her work alongside her husband in his first business combined for her to produce “Dying to Meet Him, Wit and Wisdom from a Funeral Director’s Wife.”

This thought-provoking, sometimes humorous look at death is designed for Bible studies, home group studies, individual study and for anyone who fears death.

“Dying to Meet Him” is scheduled for national release in bookstores in December, but the book is available now at the following times and places or by going to www.dyingtomeethim.com.
