New festival planned for 12 Points neighborhood

News Release

TERRE HAUTE — Family fun, live music, food and drinks are all on tap this Friday and Saturday in 12 Points at a Crusader Carnival.

The event, which is to take place in the parking lot of Sacred Heart School, 1330 Lafayette Ave., will benefit John Paul II Catholic High School. Event organizers hope that this is the first of many such carnivals.

“August is the only month of the year without a holiday,” said Robert Flott of B3 Entertainment, a carnival organizer. “We want this to become the official August holiday for Terre Haute.”

Organizers also hope the carnival raises money for the school “by providing great entertainment for people of all ages,” Flott said in a press release.

Carnival games, with prizes, will be available for youngsters, as will a bounce house.

Sponsors for the event include Ambrosini’s Pizzeria & Catering, Dever Distributing, Wolfe’s Auto Auction, B3 Entertainment, Sati-Babi, DeBaun Funeral Home, Accurate Insulation, Ellis Law, Greg & Amy Gibson, Mr. & Mrs. Dave Gorrell, Gallions, U Store It, A-1 Sanitation, DIY Rental, Kohl's, Popejoy Music, Taco in a Bag, Marathon “The Pit Stop,” Big Picture Digital Printing, Lamar Advertising, Kessco Water, Becky & Lowell Touchton, Cindy Miller, Garvin & Lidsters, Complete Outdoor Rental, Wolf Supply, T-Shirt 1, Kolton Musgrove, THPD K-9 and Baesler’s.

Ambrosini's will also provide a beer and wine garden.

Over the two days of the event, 17 musical groups will provide live music, beginning about 11:30 a.m. each day. The gates will open at 11 a.m. daily.

Several K-9 units from Terre Haute Police Department will be on hand to demonstrate their skills.
