TERRE HAUTE —
The Indiana State University theater department will present “Spoon River Anthology” April 10-13 beginning at 7:30 p.m. each day in the Dreiser Hall Theater.
In this play created from Edgar Lee Masters’ revered anthology of free-verse poems, the dead emerge from their graves to speak to us about their lives. Through their anguish, they reflect on their past loves, hopes, and dreams, while unsuspecting living beings, alongside, celebrate the simple joys of life and love in song and dance. Indiana State’s production of “Spoon River Anthology” will be directed by Arthur Feinsod and performed in partnership with Community Semester and The Year of the River celebration.
Tickets are $10. ISU students get in free by showing their Student ID. Tickets must be purchased in advance from the New Theater ticket office. Prepaid tickets can be picked up at Dreiser Theater starting at 6:30 p.m. each day before the performance. The New Theater Ticket Office will be open Monday, April 8, through Friday, April 12, from noon to 4:30 p.m. each day.
