Liffick-Pickett

Mr. and Mrs. Brant L. Liffick announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Yvonna Liffick, to Jonathon Pickett, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pickett.

The wedding is set for July 6, 2013, in Terre Haute.

The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School and a 2012 graduate of Indiana State University. She is a substitute teacher for Vigo County School Corp. and Shakamak School Corp.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2009 graduate of White River Valley High School and a loader for Prairie Aggregate Co. in Bloomfield.

The couple will reside in Linton.

Pitts-Akers

Amy Elaine Pitts and Bradley Wayne Akers, both of West Terre Haute, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The ceremony is set for June 15 at First United Emmanuel, followed by a reception at Shrine Country Place.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Angela E. Pitts and William E. Pitts. She is a graduate of West Vigo High School and Indiana State University, and works at Meadows Elementary School.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Ronald W. Akers and Tammie R. Akers, and Karen L. Eckerman. He is a graduate of Washington High School and is employed by Dever Distributing.
