TERRE HAUTE —
Three well-known Vigo County Democratic officials handily won their party’s nominations in commissioner, clerk and treasurer races in today’s voting.
Incumbent Commissioner Judith A. Anderson doubled the vote total on challenger Sean Patrick Feeney, 4,868 to 2,408, with all 87 of Vigo’s precincts reporting.
In the Vigo treasurer race, James W. Bramble defeated Don Morris, 4,020 to 3,087. Bramble is former county auditor, and Morris is a current Terre Haute City Council member.
In Vigo’s clerk race, David R. Crockett had 5,502 votes, compared with C. Dwaye Malone’s 1,490. Crockett is the outgoing Vigo treasurer (who could not succeed himself in that office). Malone is a Baptist pastor with an array of community leadership experience.
Republicans fielded no candidates in any of the three races for the primary.
