Mann tops Toth and Barker in House 46 Democrat Primary

TERRE HAUTE — Jim Mann II won the Democratic Party primary for Indiana House District 46.

Final results from the Indiana Secretary of State’s office show Mann, a Terre Haute South Vigo High School social studies teacher, won 45 percent of the vote in a three-way primary.

Mann received 1,582 votes over 1,165 for Charles “Chuck” Toth and 785 for Larry Barker.

Mann will now face Republican incumbent Bob Heaton in the November General Election. Heaton was uncontested in the GOP primary, in which he received 5,316 votes.
