Jason Keith Straw

Jason was the loving son of Ray Keith and Beth Straw of Carmel. He passed into peace on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, just six days shy of his 41st birthday. He was a graduate of North Knox High School and Indiana University. Jason owned his own small business, Vivid Paint and Restoration, where he had a reputation for hard work and excellent workmanship.

Jason is survived by his parents; his daughter, Sunny Dae; his son, Eli; and stepdaughter, Divina Thrasher. Jason has one younger brother, Ian (Sara); a niece, Kyla, and nephew, Xander, all of Carmel. Also his Aunt Karen and Uncle Frankie Dial, South Carolina, Aunt Mary and Uncle Walter Johantgen, Carmel, Uncle Bruce Campbell, Dallas, Aunt Georgia Campbell, North Carolina; cousins, Johnathon Shorter, New Orleans, Wolfie and Greta Johantgen, Indianapolis, Gregg and Andrew Campbell, Tenn.

Jason’s kids were the center of his life. He loved spending time with them camping, hiking, geo caching, boating, fishing, sharing music and just hanging out. They were his pride and joy. Jason was a wonderful caregiver to his Grandpa Bob who he loved and deeply respected.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. It is hard to imagine life without Jason’s magnetic personality, sincere compassion and challenging conversations. We Love You.

A memorial service will be held in the spring. More details at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at
