Crime Stoppers hopes to track down vandals
The Tribune-Star
Crime Stoppers is working to help the Terre Haute Police Department track down some vandals.
Detectives say that during February and March, nearly 100 reports have been filed with the police related to broken windows on homes, businesses and vehicles, according to a Crime Stoppers news release. The windows appear to have been shot out with a BB or pellet-type gun, the release said. In one case, during the same time frame, a person was even shot with a BB gun. Some arrests have been made; however there are other subjects involved who have not been identified.
Two possible vehicle descriptions include a tan, newer-model four-door and a small, black four-door car each driven by a white male in his late teens, the release said.
Anyone with information that may help can call Crime Stoppers at (812) 238-STOP or toll free 1-800-632-7463.
All calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous and a tipster could receive up to $1,000 if a tip leads to an arrest.
