Award-winning gospel singer to perform Oct. 27 in Brazil

Award-winning gospel singer Ryan Seaton from Evansville will be in concert at 10 a.m. Sunday in the First Church of the Nazarene at 1002 E. National Ave. in Brazil.

The lead singer with Union Street Quartet returns to Brazil for his fourth solo performance in two years.

He will sing songs from his newly released CD titled “Prisoner of Hope” as well as other songs.

Seaton started his solo ministry in 2010, performed as a solo artist at the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Ky., in 2011, and as lead singer with Union Street for the last two years.

Before forming Union Street, Seaton was lead singer for six years with Ernie Haase and Signature Sound quartet that traveled to many countries and throughout the United States.

Seaton has one Dove Award for Southern Gospel Album of the Year, two Dove awards for Recorded Song of the Year, and is a Grammy nominee with Ernie Haase & Signature Sound. The Dove awards were for his debut solo recording, “The Stage is Bare,” in June 2010.
