Folk group Speedbumps to perform free show at The Woods April 14

The Speedbumps, an indie folk group and Independent Music Awards winner, is scheduled to play at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College on Monday.

Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Against the Clocks, local group, will open the show.

The Speedbumps, from Kent, Ohio, will perform their Midwest vibes and folk-rock groove at 7:30 in the Cecilian Auditorium.

The Woods Student Activities Committee is responsible for bringing The Speedbumps, and many other entertainment events, to campus throughout the year. While most events are specifically for SMWC students, SAC coordinates a few events each year for the general public.

“We would love to see members of the local community join us to hear The Speedbumps,” said Marguerite Frazier, senior equine business management major and president of SAC. “The mixture of music they share will appeal to all ages and audience members.”

The concert is free.
