Lunes Domingo and Pinball Heroes to perform June 27 at the Verve

The eclectic local musical ensemble Lunes Domingo will be up to its sonic tricks again Friday at the Verve in downtown Terre Haute. The 10  p.m. performance will showcase the group’s mix of jazz, funk and rock, which was forged in the Verve’s Monday Jazz Jam and honed over the first half of 2014.

Lunes Domingo’s Fourth Friday shows always begin with their set, followed by a special guest in the second set, then everyone from both groups improvising a third set together.

Pinball Heroes will share the stage this month, featuring Sarah Rodger on vocals and guitar, Patrick Waclaw on guitar, Adam Brown on keyboards, Colin Ford on bass and Danny Lauby on drums.

Pinball Heroes will perform a set of original music by Rodger, including tracks from the new disc “Ebb and Flow,” which was recently recorded by Don Arney at Quantum Productions. The disc will be available for the first time at Friday’s show, with tunes reflecting a mix of influences ranging from Etta James to Sheryl Crow to Phish.

Lunes Domingo’s core group of musicians includes Tim Doyle on guitar, Eric Schatz and John Ford on bass and Al Doti on drums.

“Friday’s show promises a mix of familiar and new tunes, with great musicianship and fun surprises,” according to a press release.

Cover will be $3.
