Colts leave two starters at home for trip to Denver

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts will be without two starters and a first-year reserve for Sunday's National Football League road game with the Denver Broncos (4:15 p.m., CBS).

Wide receiver Pierre Garcon (hamstring) and weak side linebacker Clint Session (hamstring), along with rookie cornerback/safety Brandon King (hamstring), did not make the trip to Denver with the team.

Rookie linebacker Kavell Conner is expected to make his second straight start for the Colts in Session's absence. Conner had five tackles in last week's 38-14 win over the New York Giants.

With Garcon sidelined, Indianapolis is down to just two wide receivers on the active roster -- Reggie Wayne and Austin Collie. The team could make a roster move Sunday morning by signing one of two rookie receivers from the practice squad, Blair White or Brandon James. Both White and James were impressive during the preseason.

The Colts could also sign a safety from the practice squad, probably rookie Mike Newton, to take King's spot in the secondary.
