Rose-Hulman athletes honored for academics by HCAC

TERRE HAUTE — The Rose-Hulman athletic department leads the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference with 60 academic all-league awards during the 2011-12 academic year.

Fall sports athletes combined for 42 awards, with winter sports athletes contributing 18 honors to the tally. The spring sports list will be released in May.

The men's soccer team has led the award list with 11 honorees, followed by football, men's indoor track and volleyball with seven.

Academic all-conference student-athletes must follow the criteria of carrying a 3.50 cumulative grade point average entering their playing season and be in at least their second year at the institution.
