GREENCASTLE — Following a 34-0 season, including the NCAA Division III title, DePauw’s Kris Huffman has been named the Division III Coach of the Year by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.

The announcement came at the annual WBCA Convention during the Women’s Final Four.

The honor marks the second time Huffman has earned the award from the WBCA as she also was the top pick in 2002 after leading the Tigers to a third-place finish in the Division III championships.

Completing her 20th season at DePauw, Huffman directed the Tigers to a perfect regular season (28-0) for the first time in school history.
